Fall is like fire.
The trees are wearing their clothes, a red jacket
So around the city is like lava.
Dragon flies are like red dragons,
They are flying all around the sky.
The red sky is like tomato juice.

In Janine’s words, “Lee Ji-Su’s poem about fall makes great use of simile while using a motif of the color red. Though her assignment was only to write a few similes about a topic, she went above and beyond with this poem and crafted a piece that is vivid and beautiful.”
