I was traveling by myself through Cambodia and had a wonderful tuktuk driver who blasted through all of my sightseeing goals for two days in Phnom Penh in just one day. With no real plan for day two, I woke up and was planning on a leisurely walk along the river when another tuktuk driver waved me over and convinced me that I had to go to Silk Island. I definitely got ripped off monetarily, but I'm so happy I went to this quiet little island. The actual silk-making part of Silk Island was, again, a tourist trap, but I still loved walking around with my teenaged guide learning about the whole cycle of silk making, from pupa to intricate scarf.
