Francesca Duong
EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
Francesca is a third-year ETA in Seoul, and she has a strong fascination with editing. Prior to her journey in Korea, she had won multiple poetry and writing awards, and she contributed to the Gwangju News last year. When she's not tapping away on her computer, she is most likely attending dance classes or searching for delicious new restaurants.
Kate Refolo
MANAGING EDITOR - DESIGN
Kate is a 3rd year ETA placed at a Co-ed High School in Seoul. In 2022, she graduated from Villanova University with a BA in Cultural Studies. In her free time, she enjoys finding beautiful cafes, journaling, and shopping with friends. She previously worked on Infusion Volumes 16 and 17 as the Design Editor, and she is excited to return for her third year!
Grace Turley
MANAGING EDITOR - LIFESTYLE
Grace is a third-year ETA working at two middle schools in Naju, Jeollanam-do. She graduated with a degree in Art History from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She is returning for her third year with the magazine, this time as a managing editor for the lifestyle section. A fun fact about Grace is that she holds a black belt in Taekwondo. She is excited to share our Fulbright community's work with the world once again!
Declan Mazur
MANAGING EDITOR - LITERARY
Declan Mazur is a second-year ETA in Busan teaching at a co-ed North Korean Defector middle and high school. He graduated from NYU Shanghai with a B.A. in Global China Studies, focusing on cultural anthropology and China-Korea Peninsula relations. Outside of Infusion, you'll see Declan reciting funny lines from movies or conjuring up his next short story.
Maddie Stokes
STAFF EDITOR - LITERARY
Maddie is a first-year ETA at an all-girls middle school in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, she graduated from the University of Virginia, where she unwittingly became the protagonist of a murder mystery novel. When not teaching, she's usually busy reading, struggling through yoga classes in Korean, or sharing snacks with her host brother.
Laura Evans
WEB EDITOR
Laura Evans is a second-year ETA teaching elementary students in Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.S. in Neuroscience and worked as a lab coordinator studying children's academic development and neurocognition before beginning her Fulbright. When she's not teaching, you can find usually find Laura at the gym, drawing and listening to audiobooks, or making memes.
Daniel Salgado-Alvarez
STAFF EDITOR - LIFESTYLE
Daniel is a first year ETA teaching middle and high school students in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do. He graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in sociology and East Asian studies (Korean). In his free time, he enjoys making all types of pottery at a local studio.
Eden Perez Bonilla
MONITOR
After graduating from Occidental College and working, Eden is now a second-year ETA at an all-girls trade high school in Jeongeup, Jeollabuk-do. They take Korean calligraphy classes, read, draw, watch and play basketball, and find various other ways to fill their free time.
Colleen Rhein
MONITOR
Colleen is a second-year ETA who has spent the last two wonderful years teaching at an all-girls high school in Mokpo, Jeollanam-do. She is an alumna of the University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE)! While living in Mokpo, she has had the opportunity to take adult ballet classes, and this year, they formed a team and participated in a dance competition!
Pey Straubel
MONITOR
Pey is a first-year ETA at a middle school in Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do. She grew up in Connecticut and attended Bryn Mawr College, where she majored in English literature with double minors in data science and psychology. When she isn't teaching, you can find her reading, learning Korean, traveling, and searching for indoor archery ranges where she can practice.
Pearl Cook
