Infusion Staff 2023 - 2024
Francesca Duong
EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
Francesca is a second year ETA in Seoul, and she has a strong fascination with editing. Prior to her journey in Korea, she had won multiple poetry and writing awards, and she contributed to the Gwangju News last year. When she's not tapping away on her computer, she is most likely attending dance classes or searching for delicious new restaurants.
Claire Wyszynski
MANAGING EDITOR
Claire is a first-year ETA in Seogwipo City on Jeju Island. She is a graduate of the College of William & Mary, where she studied history and international relations. Outside the classroom, she enjoys reading, blogging, running, and lifting.
Anna Kate Daunt
MANAGING EDITOR
Anna Kate Daunt is a first year ETA living in Jeongeup, Jeollabukdo. She’s honored to serve as one of this year’s Managing Editors, and grateful to have worked with such a wonderful team!
Alyssa Burris
STAFF EDITOR - LIFESTYLE
Alyssa is a first year ETA in Cheongju. She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas, her home town, with a BS majoring in Psychology and minoring in Anthropology before going on to complete her Master of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. When she is not binging content from Dimension 20, Alyssa can often be found lugging her oversized backpack, chosen to accommodate an unnecessary but much beloved keyboard, from one cafe to the next. There she will spend too much money and not enough time consuming, creating, and sharing stories.
Paige Roussell
STAFF EDITOR - LIFESTYLE
Paige graduated from the University of Vermont in 2022 with a B.A. in linguistics and a minor in food systems. It is her second year on the Infusion Team as last year she co-hosted the Infusion Podcast, "Wait a Minute". This year she is really excited to help curate the magazine itself as a Lifestyle Staff Editor. In her free time she enjoys baking and subsequently eating what she has baked.
Amrita Adak
STAFF EDITOR - LITERARY
Amrita is a first year ETA in Pohang, and has a deep love for all things literary arts. Having graduated with a B.S in Neurobiology, Language, and Trauma she is fascinated by the extent that language can physically and metaphorically shape who individual people become across their lives. Much of her work focuses on using motifs to describe the migration of diasporas across the world and she hopes to continue honing her skills while in Korea. When she's not running through notebook after notebook, Amrita is most likely attending a new class for a skill she doesn't yet have or dragging her friends on another silly adventure.
Andrew Ramirez
STAFF EDITOR - LITERARY
Andrew is a first-year ETA in Pohang. He is a graduate of Columbia University, where he studied East Asian Languages and Cultures, with a focus on modern literature. In his free time he loves reading, playing guitar, drinking coffee, and playing video games.
Kate Refolo
DESIGN EDITOR
Kate is a 2nd year ETA placed at a North Korean Defector school in Seoul. In 2022, she graduated from Villanova University with a BA in Cultural Studies. In her free time, she enjoys finding beautiful cafes and going shopping with friends. She worked on Infusion Volume 16 as the Design Editor last year, and she’s excited to return to be the Design Editor again this year!
Victoria Lee
WEB EDITOR
Victoria, a third-year ETA in Seoul, graduated with her master's in second language studies focused in English language education from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Prior to Fulbright, she taught high school and university students. In her free time, she enjoys biking, reading, and making the most out of her day.
Grace Turley
MONITOR
Grace is a second-year ETA teaching middle school in Naju, Jeollanam-do. She grew up in Massachusetts and later studied art history and museum studies at the Savannah College of Art & Design in Savannah, Georgia. When she's not working you can find her reading a book, visiting a cafe, or attempting to finish a crossword puzzle in record time.
Isa Koreniuk
MONITOR
Isa is from Ormond Beach, Florida, and graduated from The University of Florida with a double major in Linguistics and Classical Studies and a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). From a young age, Isa has always loved traveling, reading, and being in nature. You can find her singing (really, screaming) at concerts, sipping coffee in a cafe, or catching up with her loved ones, near and far.
Rebekah Park
MONITOR
Bekah is a first-year ETA in Changpyeong, a small town near Gwangju. Born and raised in New Jersey, she graduated from Princeton University with a major in Economics and a minor in Korean. Bekah is always looking to make new friends and explore, but she also enjoys going to the gym, hiking, singing, and trying new crafts.
Michaela-Katherine 'Mika' Taylor
SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR
Mika is an American-Peruvian third culture kid who spent her whole life living abroad in Europe, Asia, and South America. She graduated the College of William and Mary with a B.A. in Global Studies, and her biggest passion is traveling and meeting new people. In her free time you can catch her cafe hopping, adding to her Naver Maps pins!
